Four killed in Waltham Park

FOUR people, including three men, were shot dead in the community of Waltham Park in St Andrew, yesterday.

In one incident, 28-year-old Alrick Gooden, otherwise called ‘Ruggu’; 22-year-old Randy Collins, who goes by the alias ‘Stacy’; and 21-year-old Shantel Campbell were attacked and peppered with bullets by gunmen who invaded the house in which they were on Delamere Avenue. The incident occurred at about 6:45 am.

Both Gooden and Collins lived on Delamere Road while Campbell hailed from nearby Oakland Crescent.

The third man, 19-year-old Sanjay Barrett, was killed in an alleged confrontation with the police. According to the Constabulary Communication Network, members of a police team that was at the scene of the triple killing was fired on by Barrett. They said the fire was returned, fatally wounding the man.

They police said the shooting has since been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations.

In the meantime, people with information about the triple killing are asked to share it with the police.
