Something for teens at Jamaica Family Fest
TEENS will not have to worry about coming up with fun activities this Heroes Weekend, thanks to Jamaica Family Fest.
The festival will take place on Monday, October 21 at the Constant Spring Football Club, St Andrew, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. According to Jamaica Family Fest’s organiser Andrew McKenley of Eneso Productions: “Teens can come out, and parents should bring the kids out to spend the holiday playing together.
“We’re planning to have the trapoleaper, bounce-a-bout, train, mechanical bull, and merry-go-round. I’m also sure the kids are gonna enjoy the clowns, face-painting, food items like the snow cones, popcorn, snacks and treats from our food court. Our aim is to provide an affordable event in a safe atmosphere and that’s why we had to make Jamaica Family Fest the most affordable event for only $200.”
McKenley also says there will be activities catering to older teens and young adults, especially those who need guidance about college.
“We are also encouraging high schoolers and young adults to come for the informative Education Fair. They will be able to learn how to get the best out of their education; how to choose the right career path and how to make themselves ready to enter their various careers. It’s going be fun! So come hungry!”
For teens who are also music lovers, there will be something for them too. Artistes including George Nooks, the Jolly Boys, Omari, Kevin Downswell, Prodigal Son, and Kevin Smith will hit the stage with superb musical performances; while Lubert Levy will offer soul-stirring spoken ministry to patrons. Also performing are the JCDC Festival Song finalists and dancing sensations Shady Squad.
The Jamaica Family Fest will benefit a family of eight who are currently living in a wooden structure on an open lot in Havendale, St Andrew.
