Tessanne soars ahead as The Voice favourite

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A poll on American entertainment blog site, Hollywoodlife.com, places Jamaican Tessanne Chin as the clear favourite after Monday night’s live performances on American talent competition, The Voice.

The poll, which started after Monday night’s live round asked, “Which singer was your favourite”, with Chin racking up 82 per cent of the votes, and James Wolpert, also of Team Adam, second with four per cent.

“The Voice finally went live November 4, giving Team Adam and Team Blake a chance to show what they’re really made of; and as far as HollywoodLife.com is concerned, Jamaican songstress Tessanne Chin absolutely stole the show with her mind-blowingly soulful rendition of Jimmy Cliff’s “Many Rivers To Cross.” Is it any wonder why she was crying tears of joy at the end of the episode? Seriously, she’s in it to win it,” the Hollywood life said.

Adam Levine not only commended Chin on a superb performance, but admitted he is equally impressed with her personality, “You’re a wonderful human being and your talent is mind-boggling. I’m so dazzled by what just happened,” he said.

Cee-Lo Green said “They saved the best for last. You are one of my favourites, you make me feel things.”

www.people.com placed Tessanne at the top as well with the headline ‘Team Adam Levine’s Tessane Chin steals the show.”

Other contestants from Team Adam were Grey Paluszynski, Will Champlin and Preston Pohl. While Blake Shelton’s team comprised Shelbie Z, Nick Hawk, Ray Boudreaux, Austin Jeckles and Cole Vosbury.

Tessanne fans are being urged to vote for her by calling 877-553-3710 or texting the number 10 to 8642. In addition fans may purchase her Voice performances on iTunes, each single sold will add five votes to her tally towards winning the competition.
