THE challenge was made and eventually the man who thought his position was unassailable knitted his brows, frowned, whined and reluctantly accepted that he had little choice but to yield.
Many harsh words have been spoken, hurled, exchanged, and men and women who once made claims to political viability have suddenly morphed into lesser human sides of themselves. Members of parliament like Everald Warmington and Karl Samuda have put the whip to those whom they thought of as underlings and ‘gofers’, but they were always that side of themselves that drew only party diehards to them.
The bell is tolled, the motors are humming, the troops are gathered and as they face each other, only one man will reign supreme after the battle today…
