Senior League quarter-final line-up complete
MAY PEN, Clarendon — Defending champions Holmwood Technical will face Manning’s School in the quarter-finals of the ISSA/Digicel Rural Area Senior League netball competition after consolidating their place atop Group Four.
The Carline Graham-Powell-conditioned Holmwood finished the second-round with maximum 15 points after thrashing Glenmuir High 56-16 in Tuesday’s late game at Clarendon Park.
They will now travel to Belmont Academy in Westmoreland for their quarter-final fixture against Manning’s, who finished second to Bishop Gibson in Group One.
In the other quarter-final ties, Bishop Gibson will meet Titchfield High at GC Foster College, Denbigh High will oppose STETHS at Clarendon Park, while Manchester High and Edwin Allen will square off at the same venue.
Titchfield placed second to Holmwood in Group Four on 12 points after topping Marymount High 40-18 in their final second-round fixture at CASE on Tuesday evening.
Denbigh qualified for the last eight as Group Three winners – three points clear of Edwin Allen who took second with a 25-18 victory over Old Harbour High. Manchester, meanwhile, pipped STETHS for first place in Group Two after both teams finished atop the standings on 13 points each.
Manchester had a superior goal average.
