AW Festive Countdown Trending

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) hosted their annual awards banquet in the grand ballroom at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston on Thursday. The ladies for the most part donned elegant threads for the swanky event, during which GraceKennedy director Everton McDonald was presented the ICAJ Distinguished Member Award for 2013. Your All Woman team was on the red carpet, singling out the fashionistas whose style notes indicated the temperature of the current festive season.

BLACK LACE

Black lace continues forging ahead this season and we spied incarnations of the fabric rendered as overlays (especially over nudes and creams) and as side-panel detailing.

BLACK SEQUINS & BEADS

Zooming in on the evening bags preciously clutched by perfectly manicured hands, sequins and beading shimmered and sparkled in noir.

BLUSH

According to the fabellas at the ICAJs, corals and pinks aren’t just for the cheeks and the lips this season — time to think outside the compact!

COVER-UPS

These fabellas showed the room that the perennial pashmina or shawl was officially on cold storage and that it was high time for the bolero and the embellished capelet to have their moment in the sun.

JEWEL TONES

This season, baubles jump out of the bijoux case and on to silk and chiffon carpet-grazers as seen on the ICAJ red-carpet in ruby, sapphire, turquoise and amethyst.
