KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican powerhouse and The Voice winner Tessanne Chin appeared on NBC’s Today show on Thursday as members of the panel quizzed her on her performance with multi-Grammy-winning Celine Dion.

Asked if she was given any career advice from the timeless singer with whom she shared the stage during a duet of the singer’s ‘Love Can Move Mountains’, Chin, laughing, said yes.

“She asked me if I was married and I said yes,” Chin recounted. “She asked me if I had kids and I said not yet.

“She was like ‘hmmm’, five years, wait five years,” said Chin, eliciting an outburst of laughter from the members of the Today show.

The Today Show panel also asked Chin what it was like to perform alongside the megastar, and though admitting that it was nerve-racking, Chin had nothing but praises for the Canadian singer saying that Celine has always been the artiste she has looked up to the most.
