Jackie Bell KO kicks off today
THE Kingston & St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA)/Yellow Pages Jackie Bell Knockout competition continues today with the third-round first leg play-offs.
Tivoli Gardens will host Allman/Woodford at the Edward Seaga Complex; Cavalier visit Maverly Field to face New Kingston; Arnett Gardens welcome Brown’s Town at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, and Boys’ Town visit Buttercup Park to face Real Mona.
All games begin at 3:00 pm.
Four games are also scheduled for tomorrow, with defending champions Harbour View playing away to Shortwood FC and Shortwood Primary Field. Barbican FC will travel to Constant Spring Complex to meet the hosts; August Town are at home to Rockfort at UWI Field # 1, and UWI will welcome Molynes FC at UWI Field # 2.
There games will also be played at 3:00 pm.
Since its inception, the tournament has grown steadily to the point that 36 teams playing under the umbrella of KSAFA entered this year’s renewal, which is sponsored by Jamaica Yellow Pages for the third year in succession to the tune of $4,000,000.
The winner will pocket $350,000, second place $200,000, third place $150,000 and fourth place $100,000.
