CAYMANAS Track Limited (CTL), in association with main sponsor McKay Security, is pleased to announce the first of nine events to be hosted under the Caymanas Live series, which will kick off today at Caymanas Park with entertainment by the McKay Security artistes of the month I-Octane.

Jason McKay, general manager of McKay Security, expressed his desire to assist in promoting Caymanas Park to the wider public outside of horse racing. This will in due course grow the crowd attendance by having a series of live shows with Jamaica’s top performers once a month. As a sponsor of other race days such as the “New Year’s Day/CTL Customer Appreciation Day” at Caymanas Park, McKay Security knows and understands the potential it has with creating a day such as “Caymanas Live”.

This is why they have decided to use only “Jamaica’s top performers” for this event. McKay said that “once these artistes are chart toppers, they will be considered to perform at Caymanas Live, once they are available for the dates proposed.”

CTL is ecstatic about this new venture and takes this opportunity to thank McKay Security for coming on board and taking initiative to showcase Caymanas as a multipurpose attraction. This being a series of shows for nine months from March to November, it will only get better each time.

“The aim of this is to show the public of the other side of Caymanas, which is a prospective entertainment hub and not that only for racing. This will aid in increasing the attendance at the track, while attracting other potential sponsors and benefit all stakeholders and utilising the track on a whole,” said brand manager Sheena Rampaul.

CTL’s executive marketing manager David Hobson said that “although horse racing is our primary business at Caymanas Park, we have to create and utilise other ways to attract a wider cross section to Caymanas Park and also introduce them to the Sport of Kings”. He anticipates a wonderful series with Caymanas Live as horse racing is embedded in the Jamaican culture just as reggae and dancehall music is.
