XLCR, Jonathan Grant in top-of-the-table clash
EXCELSIOR High and Jonathan Grant will meet in a top-of-the-table clash in the ISSA/KFC/Locker-Room Sports football competition today.
Both teams are locked on 12 points after recording convincing victories on Monday and are only separated by goal difference at the top of Zone F.
Third-placed Tivoli High will be hoping to stay close to the leaders when they face Bridgeport, while Campion College will be looking to bounce back from that embarrassing defeat to excelsior when they welcome cellar dwellers Immaculate Conception High.
Zone A continues to be closely contested, with only four points separating first and fourth place. Current leaders Rusea’s (nine points) will play away to fifth-placed Westwood (two points), second-placed Spot Valley (eight points), will have their hands full at home to St James (five points). Meanwhile, Muschett (five points) should record their second win when they welcome bottom-placed Montego Bay (one point).
Zone E also remains closely contested and will see leaders Ardenne (12 points) playing at home to third-placed Wolmer’s (seven points), Innswood, who are in second place on nine points, will welcome fourth-placed Edith Dalton James (five points), while Spanish Town and Tarrant will face off in the battle of the minors.
Christiana High (seven points) will be looking to close the gap in Zone C when they take on Mile Gully (three points), as group leaders Lennon (10 points) will not be in action.
The other game will see Glenmuir and Garvey Maceo do battle, while Camperdown will face Penwood High in the only Zone G game.
