Golden League gets financial boost
THE 2014 Bull Investment Limited Golden League football competition has received an increase in sponsorship, moving the company’s total spend to $200,000.
This league is for players over the age of 45 years.
The cheque presentation was done at the company’s Old Hope Road offices by principals Wayne and Simone Gentles to league president, Carlton Galbraith.
Wayne Gentles said based on the growth and success of the league, it was easy for his company to continue its sponsorship for a third year. He said that the proper running of the competition and high level of discipline exhibited by players were other key factors for the decision to stay on board.
Meanwhile, Christian Ambassador are leaders of Zone A with 20 points after eight rounds of matches, followed by defending champion Santos with 17, Nautica third with 14 and Telecom Strikers, fourth with 14 points.
