England defeat Windies to level ODI series

KINGSTON, Jamaica – England defeated West Indies by three wickets to level the One Day International ODI series underway in Antigua at the Sir Viv Richards cricket ground.

West Indies, sent in to bat, were all out for 159 in 44.2 overs.

England, after early hiccups, reached 163 for seven to win and tie the three-match ODI series at one all.

Bowler Stephen Parry making his debut for England was named Man of the Match.

Scores:

West Indies — 159 all out from 44.2 overs — Lendl Simmons 70, Dwayne Bravo 20; (Stephen Parry 3-32, Joe Root 2-15, James Tredwell 2-39).

England — 163 for 7 fron 44.5 overs — Michael Lumb 39, Ravi Bopara 38 not out, Stuart Broad 28 not out; (Nikita Miller 2-28, Dwayne Bravo 2-41).

Teams:

West Indies — Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo, Kirk Edwards, Nikita Miller, Sunil Narine, Kieran Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Ravi Rampaul, Darren Sammy, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith.

England — Stuart Broad, Moeen Ali, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jos Buttler, Jade Dernbach, Harry Gurney, Michael Lumb, Steve Parry, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, James Tredwell, Luke Wright.

The third ODI is scheduled for Wednesday in Antigua.
