‘Kartel’ seen in Three Miles
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Is Vybz Kartel really behind bars?
That’s the question several people were left asking Friday morning at the Portia Simpson Miller Square (Three Miles) in Kingston 11, after seeing David Mattis, a look a-like of the incarcerated entertainer.
“Yeah man everybody mistake me for Kartel,” said Mattis.
The 23-year-old admitted that because of his resemblance to Kartel, he is extremely popular among girls in his community.
Mattis, who looks like a younger version of Kartel (before the tattoos), says that he has always been a fan of the DJ and actually doesn’t mind the attention the resemblance has brought him.
“Because of how me look the girls them no stop rush me,” he said with a broad Kartel-like smile.
