Ramel ‘Sub Zero’ Lewis to face Guyana’s Gardel Roberts in Contender 4th bout
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Team Jamaica’s Ramel ‘Sub Zero’ Lewis (Green Team) will be facing Team Caribbean’s Gardel Roberts of Guyana (Yellow Team) in the fourth week of the Wray and Nephew Contender boxing series on Wednesday, April 9.
The Green Team recently won their first physical challenge against the Yellow Team, with Lewis hand-picking Roberts to be his opponent.
Organisers on the Wray and Nephew Contender have altered the format of the boxing competition for the fourth season with the Green Team comprises only Jamaican boxers while the Yellow Team consists of boxers from Jamaica and the wider Caribbean including Guyana, Barbados, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Carl Grant coaches the Green Team, while Andrew Boland coaches the Yellow Team with the boxers vying for a top prize of $2 million and a runner-up prize of $500,000.
