Jillionaire headlines CFW spectacular
TRINIDAD-BORN Jillionaire, part of world-renowned music production team Major Lazer, will headline Caribbean Fashionweek’s (CFW) EDM Spectacular at the National Indoor Sports Center in St Andrew, tomorrow.

Electronic dance music (EDM) or house music has a growing fan base worldwide. And proponents such as Major Lazer and the Color Festival have assisted in driving the sound, especially among younger dance fans. Caribbean Fashionweek, ever on the cutting edge of important new trends, has seen it fit to highlight this music at its 2014 renewal.
With over 15 years of experience, Jillionaire has created a unique sound which blends house music with the Caribbean rhythms of soca and dancehall. He has headlined gigs across Europe, The UK, Asia/Australia, North and South America, guest mixes for BBC Radio 1 and MTV.
Jillionaire, as part of Major Lazer, has established a presence in the dancehall arena. Songs like Pon Di Floor (featuring Vybz Kartel); Keep it Going Louder (with Nina Sky and Ricky Blaze); and Hold the Line (featuring Mr Lexx and Santigold) were sizable club hits and registered on the Billboard Dance charts.
Major Lazer also worked on remixes for a number of acts including Gyptian, the Beastie Boys, No Doubt, Bunji Garlin, Bruno Mars, Konshens, Popcaan and hip hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
