Best and worst World Cup moments
Dornell Henry, Hostess (Usain Bolt Tracks and Records Limited)
My best World Cup moment was today’s match. I liked the fact that Belgium came out the winners. I was really looking forward to Algeria taking it and my prediction was actually right because I predicted the match to end 2-1, and that’s exactly how it ended.
Ras Kassa, Filmmaker
I would say the worst moment ever was when Spain won in 2010. That is the worst moment in football and World Cup history.
Javier Benito, General Manager (KFC Latin America)
It would be 1970, Brazil winning 4-1 against Italy with Pele scoring, best moment ever.
Foota Hype, Selector
My best World Cup moment is when Cameroon was on top with Roger Milla, that was the greatest part of World Cup history. Mi nuh memba di year and dem ting deh enuh, but mi know seh a dat fi me. Dem time deh mi a likkle yute. Him did have fan flair, star ballership, it was the spirit, the rivalry and dem ting deh. Big up Cameroon.
Scatta Burrell, Producer
My favourite World Cup moment was 2006 when France was right there to win it and Zidane head butted that guy from Italy for his comments. Zinedine Zidane is one of my favourite players, so give it up for France, they’re my pick to win it this year.
Dawn McCauley, Brazilian Embassy Officer
It would have to be England versus Italy on Saturday, that was really good, you could see why they called it a beautiful game. Absolutely beautiful and really great.
Dwayne Morris, Music Producer (Cahban Rekords)
I’ve been watching the World Cup since 1994 and my best moment is probably when Zidane did head butt Marco Materazzi in 2006, and Roberto Baggio’s penalty kick in ’94, a di highest mi eva see a football go. Not exactly goal moments, but I remember those.
Kemoi Burke, Marketing and Events Manager (Usain Bolt Tracks and Records Ltd.)
Well best World Cup moment of all time for me is of course Brazil beating Germany 2-0 at the World Cup finals in 2002, when el phenomenon Ronaldo himself rounded Oliver Kahn and just slot it home.
