Norway defender Elabdellaoui joins Olympiakos
PIRAEUS, June 18, 2014 (AFP) – Norway international right-back Omar Elabdellaoui has joined Olympiakos from second division German side Eintracht Braunschweig, the Greek champions announced Wednesday.
No financial details were made public nor was the duration of the contract.
Elabdellaoui, 22, made 29 appearances for Braunschweig last season but was unable to help the side avoid relegation after just one season in the Bundesliga.
He joined Premier League giants Manchester City as a teenager in 2008 before spending loan spells at Stromsgodset in Norway, Feyenoord and Braunschweig, whom he joined permanently last July.
Elabdellaoui, who can also operate in a more advanced role, has been capped seven times by Norway.
