JFJ, you have been exposed
RIGHTS group Jamaicans for Justice has come in for severe criticisms from Jamaica Observer online readers over its apology for an inappropriate sex-education pilot programme that was introduced in several children’s homes last year. reacting to a story published yesterday, the readers also raised questions as to what is the true purpose of the JFJ. Here are some edited comments:

Great! Accepting they made a mistake. Haven’t heard that concept in a long while… even when they do wrong they do it the right way.

Your response is a hard sell JFJ. Your underwear started to show some time ago and now is fully exposed due to your allegiance to the financial backers for your organisation. Were you not carrying out the agenda of your financial supporters? It is only the truth that shall set you free!

Who ultimately delivered the material to the kids? I find it odd that we are only being made aware of this “breach” after the “training” had ended. It began in October last year and ended last month. Why was the CDA not aware? I don’t care about their argument that they were not made aware, they ought to have made themselves aware, after-all they are responsible for providing oversight to the children’s home.
What about the management team in each home, were they aware and if not why?
Folks this is bigger than JFJ. After-all there has to be a fall guy for every situation.

Lisa Hanna does not have many duties in her remit. Why then does she allow so many things to fall through the cracks? What is she doing with her time? As for JFJ, their excuse has been weighed in the balance and found wanting. I do not believe, for one minute ,that they were unaware of the content since this is part and parcel of their mandate.

So if I commit a murder then admit to it, I will not be charged or face any consequences. And when since innocent children or orphans are marginalised and placed in the same group of homosexuals, sex workers, people who use drugs and ex-prisoners? The mere thought of using orphanages because they are a minority contradicts the literal meaning of JFJ. Who are enabling these people? Why do they have so much influence on our government? They should change their name to reflect their real agenda.

The pilot programme was not done in May 2014, but actually FINISHED in May 2014. Get your facts Observer!
Really
Well, I am surprised that the meticulous JFJ has erred so shamefully and disgracefully. …They have lawyers in their midst and other learned people so it is amazing that none of them vetted the material which they use to guide students? Is there any other shocking issue that has escaped their knowledge?
Resigning is not enough, Mrs Gomes should publicly apologise as she usually asks for the head of people who she thinks have done wrongs. People should always remember that when you are at the top of the wheel of fortune it comes down too so be cautious how you speak to others as harsh words make a difficult meal to eat.

The apology is not accepted. It is fake and should be thrown into the outermost reaches of the universe. The implementation of this course was an intentional and deliberate act to inculcate the minds of our defenseless minors into thinking things they, at this point in their lives, DO NOT NEED to know. You have all succeeded in the agenda you wished to achieve when this programme was started eight months ago! I am not fooled. I know someone high up in the organisation must have known what was being taught and decided it was OK to present it as is. Tolerance is one thing but, my goodness, for what you have done and failed to let the public know, you as an organisation have aligned yourselves not for Jamaicans, but against them.
