Body Building Fitness champs begin today
The 2014 Supligen/Jamaica Amateur Body Building Fitness Association (JABBFA) National Championship and Fitness Expo takes place today and tomorrow at the Holy Childhood Auditorium in St Andrew, scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm.
Eighty-four athletes from 26 gyms across Jamaica will compete in 10 categories including Miss Jamaica Body Fitness, Miss Jamaica Women’s Physique, Mr Jamaica Men’s Physique and Mr Jamaica Body Building.
Winners in each category will receive cash prizes amounting to more than $300,000.
Among the body builders competing is the Jamaican-born Canadian-body builder Winston Johnson, who is the 2011 International Drug Free Athletic Pro Universe Champion.
Casey Perue, senior consumer marketing manager at Nestlé Jamaica Limited said that her company is once again pleased to be a part of the event and will continue support the JABBFA.
“We are excited, we are pumped up, to be associated with this event, and our commitment with the JABBFA will continue,” the senior marketing manager said.
