Rain interrupts play in Windies/NZ T20
ROSEAU, Dominica (CMC) –- Rain has held up play in the opening Twenty20 International of the two-match series between West Indies and New Zealand on Saturday.
Only five overs were possible at Windsor Park as West Indies, sent in to bat, reached 22 for two, before the rains came at 2:20 pm.
Left-hander Darren Bravo was unbeaten on nine with Andre Fletcher on three.
West Indies lost both openers cheaply and in successive overs, with Lendl Simmons lbw to left-arm seamer Trent Boult in the second over for one and Dwayne Smith taken on the deep mid-wicket boundary off seamer Tim Southee for eight.
