Absinthe lives up to billing
IT was high fashion, pulsating music, premium Asian food, and gallons of refreshing beer at Sunday’s staging of Red Stripe Absinthe, Asian Sunset.
By 8:00 pm, the parking lots to The Hope Botanical Gardens were almost filled to their capacity as scores of patrons filed into the venue.
Once inside, patrons were greeted by the Asian Sunset theme and Asian cuisine. Over at the music boothe, the deejays from Chromatic, Coppershot Disco along with ZJ Johnny Kool unleashed formidable musical selections, most of which were dancehall. After parading around and posing for a few camera lenses, some of the female patrons traded their stilettos for flip-flops as they showed off various dance moves.
While the ‘massive’ partied on the dancefloor others remained by the Red Stripe bars and food court feasting on mixes beverages and Asian cuisine.
According to Erin Mitchell, Red Stripe’s brand manager, Sunday’s staging was another filled with amazing interactive moments.
“We are in our ninth year of partnership with Syndicate Events’ ‘Absinthe’. We are thrilled to be part of an event that continues to give its patrons great value. This year, we have changed our offer to ensure we are able to keep the price point accessible. Naturally, we had great music from the hottest DJs and an exceptional experience for our patrons, including our interactive photo booth, to capture their favourite Absinthe moments,” Mitchell said.
