Widespread thunderstorms expected today — Met Service
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Rain is expected over north eastern parishes Saturday morning with scattered showers and thunderstorms across sections of most parishes into the afternoon, the Meteorological (Met) Service has reported.
The Met Service said that a trough across the northern Caribbean, including Jamaica is expected to remain, bringing unstable weather for the next three days.
Furthermore an area of Low Pressure just north of Hispaniola is forecast to move west-northwest over or near the southeastern Bahamas today, and over or near the central Bahamas on Sunday.
Meanwhile in Jamaica Kingston and Portmore as well as Mandeville, Santa Cruz, Montego Bay and Negril should see thunderstorms Saturday afternoon, the Met Service said.
