‘ATL not affected by brake recall’
KINGSTON, Jamaica: ATL Automotive Limited, exclusive local distributor of Audi automobiles, is pleased to announce that none its models are affected by the brake system recall announced by the manufacturer last Friday.
According to CEO, Adam Stewart, the company has been in constant dialogue with Audi and customers need not be concerned about the condition of their vehicles.
“The ATL Group was built on a foundation of service 46 years ago. It’s in our DNA and that will never change. ATL Automotive consistently delivers more than the customer expects, to the point where we have won international awards based on surveys conducted by JD Power & Associates. We recently invested $18.5 million in the expansion of our service facilities in Kingston and Montego Bay. The initiative comes as the company improves its capacity to serve its rapidly growing customer base. This rapid growth increased the demands on our facilities and our team, so we have taken the necessary steps to ensure that we are adequately equipped with the requisite expertise and machinery to protect our customers’ investments by delivering service of the highest standards,” he said.
The service facilities at Oxford Road in Kingston and Bogue City Centre, Montego Bay have each been retrofitted with two additional service bays bringing the total number to eleven and eight respectively. The new bays include Car Lifts, Stands, Transmission Lifts, Engine Hoists, Diagnostic Machines, AC Machines, Coolant Flush Systems, Alignment Stands, Tyre Balancing Machines and other tools.
Already the locations are seeing a huge improvement in efficiencies with the ability to service approximately 50 cars on a daily basis across both locations. Much to the delight of customers, who are also now able to book their appointments as needed with reduced wait period.
“ATL Automotive has focused heavily on technology. We have acquired the latest in body jigs, frame machines, aluminium welding and aluminium repair tooling, plasma cutters, spot welders, heat lamps, thermal lamps, among others. These have allowed us to confidently take on any size job; no matter how technically complex the repair may be, due to modern material technology and manufacturing methods. Unbeatable is not just a tagline; but a way of life,” Stewart added.
