What more can be said
THE Complete Racing Guide has been following with diligence the effect equipment changes have on the performances of horses. On Sunday it was the turn of the Rowan Mattie-trained Gran Corazon.
After the filly’s dismal run on last, beaten by 17-and-a-half lengths into last place among four-year-old and upwards non-winner of two, Gran Corazon returned on this occasion without the blinkers and guess what happened? Gran Corazon was a runaway winner by four-and-a-half lengths going over 1,600 metres in 1:43:3 minutes. Dane Nelson was the pilot as the bay filly registered her second victory from 22 starts.
