JHF names squads for World League preliminaries
THE Jamaica Hockey Federation has announced a squad of 22 players to the national teams that will participate in FIH’s Hockey World League Round One slated for the Mona Hockey Facility between September 30 and October 5.
Jamaica will be hosting Barbados, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago and Venezuela in the Men’s section and Women’s teams, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela and Puerto Rico.
Jamaica’s Women’s team will be led by captain Lorie-Ann Mcintosh and will have five members making their debut at the national senior level in Shenice Campbell, Shantel Graham, Kareme Hudson, Melisha Murray and Shannar White.
The men’s team will be led by Kishawn White with national senior team debutants, Jonte Johnson, Phillip Dawson, Giovanni Green, Andrew Flecher, Brandon Clarke, Kardiff Davidson, Shiaiene Blake, Tyrone Vernon, Giovanni Campbell and Rjay Wallen.
Women’s squad — Chakira Airey (17 caps), Kadene Brown (40), Shenice Campbell, Sophia Cooper (50), Kameisha Erskine (30), Gillean Galloway (8), Ombretta Gordon (5), Shantel Graham, Kamille Griffiths (17), Kareme Hudson, Racene Johnson (17) Samantha Jones (8), Trudy-Ann Knight (17), Lorie-Ann Mcintosh (33) Ebony Mclean (9), Melisha Murray Demi Nicholson (18), Chantel Russell (40), Jodie-Ann Russell (eight) and Shannar White.
