CEDRIC Titus High will have win number six in their sights when they take on York Castle High in a return-round Zone I ISSA/LIME daCosta Cup game at York Castle this afternoon.
Cedric Titus had beaten York Castle 3-1 when they met in Wakefield in the first round and after becoming the first school in daCosta Cup to win five straight games on Saturday, are expected to continue winning.
Former champions Rusea’s High should rebound from Saturday’s loss to Frome when they host Merlene Ottey High in Lucea today in a Zone B game, while defending champions St Elizabeth Technical and Munro College will seek wins against BB Coke and Newell, respectively, after drawing 0-0 on Saturday.
On Saturday, six schools including former champions Cornwall College, Frome Technical and Clarendon College all maintained perfect win records as the competition got to the midway mark of the first round.
Cornwall College and Frome scored wins in derby matches against St James High and Rusea’s High, respectively, while Clarendon College were easy winners over Thompson Town in Zone H to win their fourth straight game.
Manchester High continued their high scoring ways with a 10-0 spanking of Cross Keys while Cedric Titus made it five straight wins, beating Browns Town 4-1 in Zone I.
