Stick Figure is ‘Smokin’
American roots-reggae/dub band Stick Figure is rocking Billboard’s Digital Reggae Singles chart with the track Smokin Love featuring Bermudan artiste Collie Buddz.
The song is number 82 on that chart and has sold over 7,035 copies since its release 16 weeks ago.
Stick Figure has released five studio albums. The southern California band is led by Scott Woodruff and also includes Kevin Bong (keyboards), Kevin Offitzer (drums) and Tommy Suliman (bass).
Their most recent album, Burial Ground, topped Billboard’s Reggae Album chart. It included the song Women of The Night, a collaboration with Half Pint.
Burial Ground has sold over 50,000 copies to date.
According to Woodruff, the band started as a local act playing venues in their native city San Diego, before touring for the first time in the fall of 2012 with Hawaiian reggae band The Green.
They eventually went on national tours with other American reggae bands such as Passafire, John Brown’s Body and Tribal Seeds. They headlined their first tour last year.
Collie Buddz, who was once signed to Epic Records, is known for hits such as Come Around, Tomorrow’s Another Day, Mamacita and Blind to You.
