That change of equipment again
The Anthony Nunes-trained Lock And Loaded continued the trend of trainers making a change of equipment that has led to success. After the chestnut colt’s dismal run as the favourite on his last outing finishing nine lengths in fourth position, Lock And Loaded (Adore The Gold – Runin On Empty) returned on Saturday with the tongue tie and the reintroduction of Lasix and guess what happened? He ran out an easy three-and-a-quarter length winner going over 1,400 metres with claiming apprentice O’Brien White motionless in the saddle. The winning time was a moderate 1:27:1 minutes.

In the seventh race, Wayne DaCosta’s seven-year-old dark bay gelding Classy Prospect was claimed by Clifford Atkinson Jr acting as both trainer and owner for $450,000.
