Stand firm, Chronixx
Dear Editor,
If every Jamaican were to go by what is being spouted from many of those who vote PNP, Chronixx would be tied to a stake and burned as they did witches and warlocks long ago. This as he, a citizen, dared to express his disgust at what is called governance in Jamaica.
He made a a statement which spoke to both political parties but, based on the social media PNP supporters, one would think that he has nailed Portia Simpson Miller, Lisa Hanna or anyone on their team to the cross — not that that would mean anything, because the sacrifice of neither would bring any kind of good result.
But let me educate the errant ones for a little bit. As a citizen of Jamaica, Chronixx has the right to be as critical of any government as he wants be. As a citizen whom these politicians beg for his vote, he has every right to expect better from them. As a matter of fact, believe it or not, both the goodly culture minister and the prime minister work for Chronixx. Might sound funny,. but it is the truth.
The problem is many Jamaicans, despite whatever their political leaning may be, seem to think that it is in the best interest for Jamaicans to remain silent and not speak up about inept people in goverment. The fact is some politicians seem to aim to rape the country under the disguise of giving back to it.
Imagine having a prime minister who actually says that her Government has done less with more money, and those who follow blindly are trying to spin that rubbish into something that makes sense? Lord, help us.
Now, what the ministers must do is actually do the work they are put there to do and remember they are public servants.
And all those who are suddenly no longer fans of Chronixx because he dared to speak the truth, everyone cannot just bury their heads in the sand.
Big up Chronixx, hold true to who you are, speak your truth, wish many more had the guts to do so instead of throwing stones while the glass in their houses are shattering.
