Powerful women

The council is made up of 50 women worldwide, including Hinchcliffe and Coke-Lloyd, the only ones from the Caribbean. Some of the other powerful women in attendance were: Ambassador Melanne Verveer, executive director of the Institute for Women, Peace and Security at Georgetown University; Cherie Blair, former first lady of England; Anne Finucane, global chief strategy and marketing officer, Bank of America; Mari Elka Pangestu, former Indonesian minister of tourism and creativity; and Ofra Strauss, chairwoman of Israel-based Strauss Group. The council has four main committees: Access to Markets Committee chaired by Sally Sussman, executive VP, Pfizer; the Leadership Committee chaired by Maud Olofsson former deputy prime minister of Sweden; Access to Capital Group spearheaded by Sri Mulyani Indrawati, managing director, World Bank; and Capacity Building and Skills Training committee headed by Beth Brooke, global vice chair of Ernst and Young (USA).
