It’s not just skipping kitchen duties at home on Friday nights anymore. Eating out — and grabbing takeout — has moved from an age-old weekend-starting tradition to any weekday. Whether for lunch or dinner, Jamaica has long transitioned to a fast-food nation.
As we celebrate quick-service restaurant operators during the Jamaica Observer-initiated Fast, Fun & Tasty Week, Thursday Life checks in with fast-food fans at Y Not Pita, Wing King, Pita Grill, Mother’s, Rituals Coffee House, Jo Jo’s Jerk Pit, Wendy’s, KFC, Burger King and Pizza Hut.
