Denbigh, Holmwood clash in rural high schools netball
DEFENDING champions Denbigh High and Holmwood Technical will confront each other in both the Junior and Senior Leagues as the 2014 Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Rural High Schools netball competition continues today at several venues, starting at 10:00 am.
Denbigh, the defending junior league champions, and Holmwood will play at 10:00 am, with the senior league game following at 10:45 am at Clarendon Park Court.
Another feature match on today is the encounter between unbeaten schools Manchester High and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) scheduled to be played at STETHS in Santa Cruz, starting at 10:30 am and 11:30 am, respectively. Simone Smith is the coach of Manchester and Jenette Burke coach of STETHS.
Both teams are joint leaders in Group Two with four wins from four starts going into the final match of the second round. Both have also qualified from the group to the quarter-finals knockout.
Other matches scheduled in the Juniors are: Bishop Gibson vs Hampton at 10:00 am; Manchester vs STETHS at 11:30 am at STETHS; Anchovy vs Frome at 10:00 am; Petersfield vs Mount Alvernia at 11:30 am at Belmont Academy Court; Albert Town vs Herbert Morrison at 10:00 am at MoBay Boys’ Club; Yallahs vs Marymount at 10:30 am; Titchfield vs St Mary High at 11:30 am at CASE ; Guy’s Hill vs Central; Dinthill vs Edwin Allen at 10:30 am at GC Foster College; Glenmuir vs Bellefield at 11:30 am at Clarendon Park.
