Star Grill celebrates
MANDEVILLE, Manchester — In 2011, the Star Grill eatery planted its roots and made its home on South Race Course Road in Mandeville.
On Saturday, November 1 it was a joining of stars as the parking lot at the establishment was transformed into an entertainment zone to demonstrate Star Grill’s appreciation to customers on its third anniversary.
Despite some rain, from evening to close to midnight, it was an opportunity for the cross-section of patrons to enjoy artistes Cameal Davis, Shuga, Nickeishia Barnes and Adena Myrie, all known from the popular Digicel Rising Stars talent competition, songbird Gem Myers, a live broadcast on Mello FM, delights from the Star Grill menu, trampoline, and face painting.
Star Grill employees, going by the stage names Nazzie, Crysie T and Instinct, also got a chance to shine with their individual and group performances.
While the parking lot buzzed with activity, some customers on the night opted for the more low-keyed scene inside the restaurant.
Those choosing to go VIP and revel in the ambience of the upper dining room enjoyed the regular Saturday night band.
