More love for 2015
Dear Editor,
It is said that we ought to put what we read into practice. Very important, but how many of us abide by this principle?
Many of us who are readers of the daily papers, and other important reading materials, often forget what we read about, and fail to put what we have read into practice.
However, in this new year, 2015, I am also hoping to see something good happen pertaining to love. More love and less crime. Let us put 90 per cent of our attention and intention on love, and 10 per cent on material things. Because the more love and respect we have for one another, more than the love for vanity, the crime rate will go down.
They say that it takes cash to care, but without love and compassion you may find yourselves in the hottest water, so it really needs more than cash to care.
If the criminals, the terrorists, the gun pests, the knife-mongers and machete-wielders had love in their hearts, Jamaica would never have become such a bloody nation.
And I am earnestly appealing to all those who are very aggressive, very intolerant, and have a warlike attitude to exercise some love and tolerance, and self-control in the new year so that there will be no bloodshed.
So, let us light up Jamaica with some profound inputs of love.
Also, I truly regret the passing of that wonderful singer, Barbara Jones, who died very recently. We miss her very much. Condolence to her family and may her soul rest in sweet peace.
