ATL appoints new group GM
APPLIANCE Traders Limited has appointed 30-year retail veteran Nick Mison to the position of group general manager.
A news release from the ATL Group quotes Chief Executive Officer Adam Stewart as saying that Mison was the standout candidate of those interviewed.
“He brings so much to the table; exceptional retail and credit finance experience, a peerless track record for business development, strategic planning and a management style that will bring the best out of what is a hugely talented team. We’re excited to have him aboard,” Stewart said.
Mison joins the ATL Group with over three decades of retail industry experience gained throughout the Caribbean, having held posts such as CEO and managing director during a 15-year spell with Courts. Mison himself sees massive development potential in Jamaica and pinpointed energy products and ongoing customer research as the key to the future of the industry.
“We’re reviewing the entire operation to find ways of making the best better. Although it’s early days, I believe in this team. It has a huge depth of knowledge and we will be leveraging this to offer the best experience imaginable; we want to ensure that we’re consistently providing Jamaica with the level of service it wants and deserves,” a company news release quotes Mison.
“With a brand as recognisable and successful as ATL, we have a firm foundation built on providing great brands and products to customers and first-class after-sales service,” he added.
A British national with Grenadian citizenship, Mison has lived in the Caribbean since 1994 and considers himself an erudite scholar on Caribbean culture. The father of three has also been happily married to wife Wendy for almost 20 years.
