Candy K joins MD Music Group
In 2014, Candy K became the youngest artiste to win the Magnum Queen of the Dancehall competition. Now 19, the deejay has signed with MD Music Group to manage her career.
MD Music Group is the brainchild of deejay Beenie Man and his brother Rohan ‘Blue’ Smith.
“Since signing with MD Music Group, I have been doing a lot of work with various producers as well as performing on major stages locally and overseas. I have a single on the radio called Wedding Ring and it’s produced by 357 Records/MD Entertainment, and it has been getting great response in the streets,” Candy K told this column.
Born Kaydah Thomas in East Kingston, she attended Alpha Academy and is presently pursuing a degree in Arts Management at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.
