Cricket: Windies spiral towards defeat chasing mammoth target
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (CMC) – West Indies, chasing South Africa’s 439 for two, were 242 for six at the end of the 40th over in the second One-Day International at the New Wanderers Stadium here Sunday.
Opener Dwayne Smith struck 64, wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin was unbeaten 56 while Marlon Samuels and Jonathan Carter both struck 40.
South Africa were earlier lifted by hundreds from opener Hashim Amla (153), captain AB de Villiers (149) and Rilee Roussouw (128).
