MANDEVILLE, Manchester – Steve Larmond of a Central Village address in St Catherine, has been charged for the murder of Manchester cop Orville Preddie.
The Manchester police say that four other persons are still being sought.
Larmond appeared in the Mandeville Resident’s Magistrate Court last Wednesday and is set to return on February 25.
According to police reports, the 34-year-old constable was off-duty and relaxing with friends at a bar in the community of Farm in south Manchester when gunmen entered the premises.
He was reportedly shot dead after the criminals discovered his police identification card while robbing patrons.
Preddie was laid to rest on Sunday.
