G7 does the ‘Maths’
NEW Jersey-based deejay G7 is promoting his latest single and video Do Di Maths. The Portmore-born artiste told this column that the song is about standing one’s ground in a competitive music arena.
“The concept is to illustrate to those individuals that sometimes go around and intimidate others, in the end it will not always work out in their favour,” he said.
G7 migrated to the United States in 2007. He is known in dancehall circles for songs such as Gimmie, Dem a Devil, Love Yuh Right, Nah Hold Vibes and My Time Fi Buss.
He has been a professional recording artiste since 2012. Among the producers he has worked with are Dane ‘Warrior Chief’ Nelson, Rohan ‘Jah Sno Cone’ Fuller, Studio Vybz, Chiney Boy Production and Terence McDonald (T7 G Music).
The video for Do Di Maths is scheduled for release this weekend. It was directed by Nimi Hendrix.
Other new songs on the way from G7 include Crab Mind and Neese Berry.
