Oliver Watt returns to media and Nationwide

AFTER years in the civil service, Oliver Watt has returned to media and is once again with Nationwide News Network (NNN) – now as editor of current affairs.

Previously Watt was director of communications at the Ministry of Youth and Culture from 2009. During that period he was also director of communications for the Jamaica National Heritage Trust from 2012 to 2013.

From 2004 to 2009 Watt was a freelance producer and presenter for Television Jamaica, and was also a part-time lecturer at Carimac at the University of the West Indies (UWI) and a freelance producer for NNN from 2007 to 2008.

Earlier jobs in media included producer/presenter for A1 Communications from 2002 to 2003 and producer/presenter for Television Jamaica from 1997 to 2002.

Watt holds a BA in media and communication from UWI and professional awards from the Press Association of Jamaica.
