WIHCON breaks ground for Red Hills development
West Indies Home Contractors Limited (WIHCON) has broken ground for the construction of Forest Ridge Development.
The development will be a gated community of almost 70 units and is located on 8.5 acres of land about five minutes from the foot of Red Hills in Kingston.
“WIHCON is committed to fulfilling its mandate to build communities that satisfy the market demand for modern, well-built facilities that you’re proud to call home, all within a reasonably priced budget,” chief executive Delroy Alcott said.
The Forest Ridge development has been designed primarily to meet the needs of the market segment of young couples who are establishing a family home as well as upwardly mobile young, single professionals seeking to invest in real estate within the Kingston and St Andrew area.
Forest Ridge, which was designed by architect Bryan Morris of Plexus Architects, will consist of an apartment block with 29 studios and 14 two-bedroom apartments as well as 12 three-bedroom condos and 12 two-bedroom condos.
The scheduled date for completion is March 2016. Units will range in price from about $14 million to $28 million.
