Digicel prepares to ‘Share di Moment’
WITH just a few days to go before Bacchanal Fridays kicks off at Mas Camp in St Andrew, title sponsor Digicel is promising bigger, better things for socaphiles this season.
To give patrons a taste of what to expect each week, during the recent Bacchanal launch, the company featured the now-popular ‘selfie’ sticks, which attendees used to capture their most memorable Bacchanal launch moments to share on social media using the hashtag #SharediMoment.
“The season is already heating up with some of the biggest soca events lined up to take place over the next few weeks,” said Kamal Powell, senior sponsorship and development manager at Digicel.
“So starting this weekend with Bacchanal Fridays, we will be having loads of giveaways of smartphones and data plans so that our customers can chronicle their experience on social media while spreading the soca fever to their family and friends,” Powell continued.
Digicel is also getting ready to unveil its overall campaign for the Carnival season, with its brand ambassador, Yendi Phillipps, as the lead.
“We know that our customers love the buzz and energy that the soca season brings, so look out for our Carnival campaign offers which will also give customers a chance to win tickets to soca parties, plus Digicel Lijuan costumes to chip down the road with us on Road March day on April 12,” said Powell.
The first stop in the Bacchanal series is scheduled for Friday, February 20 with Bacchanal Fridays and will climax with Digicel Night on Friday, March 27.
