Catherine Hall go in search of second Senior League win
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Catherine Hall will go in search of their second win in the St James Football Association Sandals/ATL Senior League this afternoon when they face Little Miami FC at the UDC field, starting at 3:00 pm.
Catherine Hall beat Montego Bay United Under-21 2-0 last week, and another win today would see them join Seba FC at the top of the points table with six points each.
Two other games will be played today where all four teams will be seeking their first win M–Melbourne FC versus Montego Bay United at Albion and Marl Road against Norwood Strikers at Bickersteth.
Catherine Hall won just three games last season and just missed relegation, but another win today would be a bright start for the Garfield Anderson-coached team.
On Wednesday at the UDC field, two goals early in the second half carried Seba FC to a 2-0 win over Fogo United.
Tajay Oldfield gave Seba FC the lead after 50 minutes and Asorni Binger followed up two minutes later with another goal.
Salt Spring United recovered from giving up an own goal to take a 2-1 lead over Lilliput Rovers, but had to settle for a 2-2 draw. In another contest, Reggae Youths and Heights ended goalless.
At Wyndham, an own goal from Ryan Daley handed Lilliput the lead after just 12 minutes over Salt Spring United. Salt Spring bounced back with goals from Kevin Vassell in the 35th and Kemar Sterling in the 64th minute to take the lead. Ryan Gibson scored in the 76th minute for Lilliput Rovers as the teams shared the points.
