Lee-Chin, NCB donate J$30 m to MVP track club

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Michael Lee-Chin will hand over a J$30-million cheque to the MVP Track and Field Club at the University of Technology in St Andrew on Wednesday.

The donation, which is being made by Lee-Chin and National Commercial Bank (NCB), is part of the NCB Foundaton’s eight-year support to the club.

According to an advisory from NCB, the project aims to provide opportunities for student athletes from low socio-economic backgrounds to obtain tertiary education and hone their talents in athletics.

The programme focuses on providing for the nutritional and training needs of club members while ensuring that their educational needs are also being met.
