J’can extraditied to US on sex charges
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Jamaican man was today extradited to the United States to answer to charges of aggravated sexual assault and having sexual intercourse with a minor.
He is 41-year-old Homer Bishop, a technician of Margarete Villa Road, Kingston 10.
Bishop is wanted in the state of New Jersey.
Reports are that on Tuesday, January 13, detectives from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch’s (C-TOC) Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Bishop on an extradition warrant. On Thursday, January 15, Bishop appeared in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court where he was ordered extradited, after waiving his right to an extradition hearing.
He left the island this morning for the United States of America where he will answer to the charges.
