Favourites dominate

Favourites dominated on Saturday at Caymanas Park, winning nine of the 10 races on offer.

The day started with 1/9 choice Buzz Nightmare duly obliging, followed by another 1/9 chance Make My Day winning the second event. In total, there were seven odds-on favourites winning on Saturday.

The trend of favourites winning was only broken in the final race when Terra Marique, ridden by O’Brien White, defeated the 2/1 favourite Miracle Recovery with Robert Halledeen.

With this proliferation of winning favourites, all the major exotic wagers, the Sunrise and Twilight Super 6s and the Pick 9 which had a carryover of close to $9 million, were all won.
