Final set of teams announced for LIME National Futsal
THE final set of teams making the cut in the inaugural LIME National Street Futsal Tournament have been announced.
Last Saturday the telecommunications firm confirmed that it now has 240 teams registered for the all-island challenge set to kick off this month.
In the capital city of Kingston, the teams making the draw are:
*Romantic United vs Youth Motivators
*Windwards Road vs Love & Unity
*Gallistic United vs Bethel United
*Real Strikers vs Metcalf Street
*Port Royal FC vs Dunoon United
*Orange Villa vs Roots FC
Liverpool FC vs Ultimate Strikers
*Diplomats Strikers vs Street People (2014 Kingston Champions)
In the former capital, St Catherine, the teams are:
*T P Z vs One Que
*Villa United vs Medley Mixers
*Church Lane United vs Tru Playaz
*Time Out vs Hustla
*Rum Bar United vs Vista United
*Gurls Rush ENT vs Madrid United
*Young Shellaz Strikers vs Way To Life Strikers
*Young Stars vs Rising Stars (2014 St. Catherine Champions)
And finally in St Andrew, the teams that will match up are:
*Phoenix All-Star Academy vs No Skills
*UWI FC vs Subteam
*Shake Spear’s FC vs Clark’s Hill FC
*Pheonix Strikers vs Crucial FC
*Bryce Hill FC vs J/Maikaz
St Andrew United vs Tower Hill All-Star

*Epic Strikers vs Denver Crescent All Stars (2014 St Andrew Champions)
LIME’s Carlo Redwood, vice-president of marketing commented on a successful recruitment process. “We are indeed pleased at the overwhelming level of support that we are already receiving for this new competition. This is clearly demonstrated in the numbers of applications we received over the past four weeks, and we believe this can be directly attributed to the solid credibility that we have built through the numerous football projects undertaken over the past year.”
He further promised that the 2015 National LIME Street Futsal competition will exceed all expectations and raise the standard for the sport locally.
The competition will officially be launched tomorrow.
