Cops display J$1 bn in illegal, counterfeit items

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Illicit and counterfeit items valued at J$1 billion will be on display at the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (C-TOC) office in downtown Kingston on Wednesday.

The open house, which is a joint effort of C-TOC and other law enforcement agencies, is part of the Jamaica Intellectual Property Rights Office week of activities.

There will be a public display of items, including DVDs, pharmaceuticals and cigarettes.
