Stewards’ disciplinary actions
THE Stewards of the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) are announcing the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the track on Tuesday, April 21.
Jockey Orayne Sewell who rode Stormonthesea in the fifth race on Wednesday, March 11, was fined $8,000.00 for the intimidation and interference caused to Uncle Chubby in the last 200 metres.
Jockey Shane Ellis who rode Frankenstorm in the first race on Saturday, March 21, was fined $10,000.00 for the intimidation and interference caused to Hawkeye final 200 metres.
Ellis, who rode Lady Sankari in the fifth race on Saturday, April 4, was fined $8,000.00 for the interference caused to Zackontheattack in the final 200 metres.
Jockey Jevvanne Erwin, who rode Awesome Marque in the seventh race on Wednesday, March 11, was fined $8,000.00 for the intimidation and interference caused to Thunder Heart leaving the 800-metre point; and,
All For The Glory in the third race on Saturday, April 11, was fined $10,000.00 for the interference caused to Super Heritage approaching the 200-metre point.
Jockey Aaron Chatrie, who rode Herecomestrouble in the eighth race on Saturday, April 18, was fined $8,000.00 for the intimidation and interference caused to Glorious Cause approaching the 200-metre point.
