MANDEVILLE, Manchester — Villa United and Downs FC have completed the semi-final line-up in the Manchester FA/Moorland Development/Pat Anderson Under-17 competition, following comfortable quarter-final victories at the Kirkvine Sport Club at the weekend.

Villa whipped Ricam Academy 5-0 in their encounter, while Downs blanked Christiana Academy 2-0 in the other fixture.

Villa and Downs will now meet in one semi-final, with Hillstars FC and Porus FC, who booked their spots on Thursday, set to meet in the other match.

Both games are scheduled for Tuesday at Kirkvine.

At the weekend, Romeo Wright notched a four-timer against Ricam to spearhead Villa’s passage to the last four. He opened the scoring in the fifth minute, before adding to his tally in the 27th, 32nd and 37th minutes. Brandon Lee Thompson completed the rout in the 45th.

In the other quarter-final, south Manchester-based Downs needed second-half strikes from Ajay Chin (66th) and Tajay Rowe (78th) to see off Christiana.
